Wonderful enhancements are taking shape at Pelican Lakes Golf Course & Resort

To our wonderful members and guests:

We would like to take this opportunity to tell you about some exciting changes underway at Pelican Lakes. We are working hard to make the Pelican Lakes experience more vibrant, exciting and fun. We are also listening to you, our members and guests, and have received great feedback and thoughts on how we can improve and positive changes that need to be made.  So, in light of all of this, we are pleased to announce:

  • The arrival of Rose Valdes as our new Executive Director of Resort Operations. Rose is in charge of all Pelican Lakes operations and brings with her years of industry experience and an infectious enthusiasm. She is a competent leader who is dedicated to making Pelican Lakes an even more extraordinary experience. She also carries a sparkle and genuine sense of fun to the organization. Rose has already been busy implementing some exciting changes that include:
    • Executive Chef George is busy enhancing the upstairs menu with delicious new additions, mouthwatering seasonal items, and tasty tweaks to old favorites. Downstairs, in the Sand Bar, Chef is crafting a brand new menu of yummy appetizers, savory entrees and healthy alternatives.
    • Service quality is really important, so we are working diligently to enhance our service standards and provide a truly enjoyable and satisfying dining experience to all of our guests. Our team is growing, changing, and evolving in order to provide a more refined level of personalized service.
    • Even though our facility is one of the most beautiful in the state, we continue to invest in its improvement. This summer we completely re-landscaped the entry areas to the restaurant and pro shop and added the beautiful new sculpture in the entry circle. We created a parking lot for golf carts near the swimming pool, improved the exterior of the club, and made our events island even more beautiful. During the off-season we will focus our efforts on improving our kitchens and making certain refinements to the restaurant, the Sand Bar and our banquet facilities.
    • More fun and exciting announcements will be made in the future, so stay tuned.

The changes we are making are meaningful and will take some time, but will be well worth it. We want to apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and for any interruptions in our service.

One change you’ll notice right away is we are moving to off-season hours of operation. We are doing this in recognition of lower off-season volume and also to maintain our quality of service, provide time to work on the interior of our facilities, and allow our team members some well-deserved time away from work. During the off-season the restaurant and Sand Bar will both be closed on Tuesdays. Golf concessions and beverages will continue to be available throughout the golf day on Tuesdays.

We deeply appreciate your business and our longstanding relationship with so many of you. We also value the feedback many of you have given and look forward to making the positive changes at hand.
